Business Intelligence AnalystLocation: Australia (Hybrid / On-site depending on business requirements) Employment Type: Full-time / ContractAbout the RoleThe Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will turn business data into insights that support strategic decisions and operational improvements. This role involves analysing datasets, designing dashboards, and collaborating with teams across the organisation to improve performance and align with business goals in the Australian market.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources.Develop and maintain BI dashboards and visual reports (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Support performance monitoring and KPI tracking.Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making.Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data insights.Document BI processes, models, and reports.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Australian standards.RequirementsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.Intermediate or strong SQL skills for data querying.Experience with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts).Ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Understanding of business operations or finance.Knowledge of Australian data privacy or compliance regulations is a plus.Preferred ExperienceExperience with data modelling or ETL processes.Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of business strategy, performance metrics, or financial analysis.What You Will GainOpportunity to influence decisions using data-driven insights.Collaboration with multiple departments in Australia.Exposure to cutting-edge BI tools and real-world business cases.Career development path towards BI Specialist, Analytics Consultant, or Data Scientist roles.
