This role requires deep SQL Server expertise and advanced Power BI development skills to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support business decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Design and manage Microsoft SQL Server database solutions, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.Translate business requirements into BI solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.Design and implement ETL processes and enterprise-level data pipelines.Maintain data governance, integrity, and security across BI environments.Troubleshoot and enhance existing BI solutions for usability and efficiency.Stay current on Microsoft BI technologies and recommend process or tool improvements.Required Experience:5+ years in BI, data engineering, or database development with Microsoft technologiesProven experience in SQL Server design, development, and administrationAdvanced Power BI proficiency (datasets, DAX, data modeling, dashboards)Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and performance tuningBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Nice-to-Have Experience:Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow and app developmentAzure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)Data governance frameworks and security best practicesExposure to data science concepts (predictive analytics, ML with Python, R, or Azure ML)Required Skills:Microsoft SQL Server (database design, optimization, administration)Power BI development (DAX, modeling, dashboards)ETL and data pipeline developmentStrong problem-solving and attention to detailPreferred Skills:Azure data ecosystem familiarityData governance/security knowledgePower Platform integration (Automate, Apps)Additional Skills:Predictive analytics and statistical modeling familiarityMachine learning exposure (Python, R, Azure ML)About GTT:GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
