Job Description

OWL Rafting is a premier whitewater rafting resort on the Ottawa River, known for epic river adventures, lakeside accommodations, and an inviting resort vibe. We’re looking for a creative, organized, and driven Marketing Coordinator to help share the OWL story, attract new guests, and inspire return visits. As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll implement and build a marketing strategy in coordination with the executive and ownership teams. You’ll manage content creation, coordinate with our advertising partners and graphic designer, and produce engaging campaigns that bring the OWL Rafting experience to life. You’ll also present regular updates to the executive team to ensure marketing efforts align with company goals.  Part time Work from home/remoteOccasional resort visits - as neededStrategy & Planning Develop and implement a seasonal marketing plan aligned with business objectives Manage and track the marketing budget to ensure efficient and impactful spending Stay current and on top of trends in outdoor tourism and hospitality Social MediaBuild and maintain a social media calendar across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, etc.) Create and post engaging content that reflects OWL’s brand voice Monitor analytics to optimize performance and grow our online presenceDigital Marketing Oversee advertising spend and performance via third-party agency for Google and Meta Keep website content up to date and aligned with current campaigns, and current SEO practices Advertising & MediaCoordinate all advertising (digital, print, radio etc.) Create messaging and creative materials for all campaigns Track and analyze ad performance, reporting ROI and key learnings to leadershipContent Marketing Plan, write, and distribute seasonal email newsletter campaigns to drive bookings, share news, and re-engage past guests Write blog posts that highlight OWL’s experiences, accommodations, events, and outdoor lifestyleEnsure all written content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with SEO best practices Creative Oversight Manage and brief OWL’s graphic designer to develop needed assets Ensure consistency in brand visuals and messaging across all marketing materials Maintain a well-organized archive of creative content Internal Communication & ReportingPresent a bi-monthly marketing performance and strategy update to the executive team Collaborate with reservations, operations, kitchen, and accommodations teams to promote events and seasonal offeringsQualificationsPost-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or related field Strong written and visual storytelling skills Proficient with social media tools, content scheduling platforms, basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe), and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress) Experience with print and radio advertising, as well as digital campaign oversight Ability to manage timelines and collaborate with creative professionals Experience with email marketing platforms, Google and Meta Ads, and SEO 2+ years of experience in a marketing role (preferably in tourism, hospitality, or recreation) is an asset Demonstrates a passion for outdoor recreation
