The candidate will collaborate with business unit stakeholders and program management, travel occasionally, and provide some afterhours support. The candidate must possess strong technical skills with a focus on reporting and data integration between disparate platforms. The candidate should be skilled in SQL and adept at critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The candidate will work closely with the Manager of IT Business Systems and other team members to establish and maintain an internal capability to provide timely and accurate information in a presentable manner to support various business objectives. This is an exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.Primary ResponsibilitiesEngage with business leaders, managers, and end-users to gather requirements.Document detailed requirements, use cases, and functional specifications to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solution.Analyze current business processes and their dependencies on information systems and data to make recommendations on process and data flow enhancements.Create, maintain, and present reports and/or dashboards to stakeholders using data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights for decision-making.Work closely with IT teams to ensure successful deployment of solutions.Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes and offer ongoing support to address any issues or questions related to the applicable reporting tools, interfaces, and data products.Contribute to other Business Systems department tasks as assignedWe have an impressive range of benefits, programs, and perks that we offer:Health & WellnessMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife and Long-Term Disability (LTD)Vision ReimbursementFitness ReimbursementFinancial401(k) Retirement Plan ContributionsEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Continuing Education AssistanceWork-Life BalanceFlexible SchedulingPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Parental and Bereavement LeaveWhat We ValueCreativity and innovation in solving challengesIntegrity and responsibility in all actionsCollaboration across teams and specialtiesResponsiveness in fast-paced environmentsPassion for national security and excellenceExperiences And Background We Look For (required Skills)Minimum of 2 years working as Business Systems Analyst, Report Writer, or similar role.Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or an additional 2 years of relevant work experience.Technically proficient in at least one business intelligence tool or platform.Minimum of 1 year working directly with Microsoft SQL Server including the ability to create SQL queries and jobs.Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and on a team.Strong written communication skills and the ability to document/diagram information systems, data flows, data definitions and procedures.Nice To Have (preferred Skills)Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, Power Automate, and/or IBM Cognos.Working knowledge of the Deltek ERP platform and modules.Experience working with finance, accounting and/or manufacturing stakeholders to translate their business objectives into functional data/system requirements.The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $108,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.Other ConsiderationsAreté is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and nondiscrimination, and we believe every person has the right to be treated with fairness, dignity, and equal consideration.Areté is an Equal Opportunity employer.
