We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the potential for growth into a Team Leader role. How You’ll Drive Our Mission ForwardProvide licensed professional nursing care to support cardiovascular physicians and other medical staff. Perform triage, documentation, injections, diagnostic support, and coordination of care. Maintain and update patient records in paper and/or electronic medical systems.
Respond to patient needs both in-clinic and by phone, assisting with procedures and patient education. Accurately document vital signs, medications, allergies, and patient concerns to support quality care and risk management. Support physicians during patient visits and follow through on orders including tests, injections, and patient instructions. Collaborate with departments through EMR communications to ensure smooth patient flow. Assist with Coumadin clinics, blood draws, pacemaker/defibrillator checks, and diagnostic procedure explanations. Manage medical forms, insurance pre-certifications, supply ordering, and mandated safety checks. Provide cross-coverage and support to other clinics or departments as needed.
What Makes You a Great MatchHigh school diploma and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Louisiana. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS certification is a plus. Skilled in clinical documentation, EMR systems, and patient communication. Experienced in triage, blood draws, injections, and assisting in diagnostic testing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain compliance with clinical protocols. Willingness to adapt, support team needs and align with the mission and patient-centered philosophy of CIS.
