We are proud to serve our community through operating with transparency, integrity and in the best interests of the Bayside community to deliver exceptional service.The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services.About The RoleThe Arncliffe Youth Centre is a sport, recreation, and community-focused Centre for all.The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the development, facilitation and evaluation of activities, programs, services and events designed to address the identified needs, interests, aspirations and challenges of young people in the Bayside LGA.The role will be primarily based at the Arncliffe Youth Centre, however, the role may be required to work from other Council facilities and locations on request. The role will work collaboratively with the Youth Officers and report to the Coordinator Young PeopleAbout YouYou will be required to:Facilitate and evaluate a schedule of activities e.g. youth programs, youth outreach/pop-up , youth week, workshops, training, school holiday programs, sports and recreational activities.Supervise young people whilst in attendance at these programs.Foster and uphold the protection and safeguarding of young people at the Centre.Facilitate timely access and referral to appropriate and specialised resources, information, support services, and external agencies to address the specific and sophisticated needs of young people.Consult regularly with young people and seek their input and feedback to ensure the Centre and its activities, programs, services, and events are led by young people and developed with their input.We Are Looking For Someone Who HasMinimum Certificate level qualification in Youth Services or relevant field.Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of specialised and tailored programs for young people aged 12 – 25.Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of community, sport and recreation programs.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to engage people of all walks of life and/or isolated groups within the community.Current First Aid certificate relevant to the role or willingness to obtain.Working With Children Check (NSW) and Criminal Reference Check.Current Driver’s Licence Class C, or willingness to obtainOur Benefits And CultureAs an organisation, we pride ourselves in offering a flexible working environment centred on delivering great outcomes for our customers, whether internal or external.
