Job Title: Category Lead – Growth & Profitability Location: Bangalore (In-Office)Role OverviewWe’re seeking a Category Strategy Lead to build and implement category-specific growth frameworks that go beyond generic models. This role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to understanding category dynamics and identifying the levers that drive revenue and profitability. You will lead a team (Growth Managers) and collaborate cross-functionally to develop tailored strategies for diverse product categories like fashion, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn category P&L – drive GMV, Spend/GMV, Profitability, and Total Spends whileoptimizing ROI.Develop category-specific strategies to maximize relevance and impact acrossdifferent product verticals.Lead & mentor a team of Growth Managers, ensuring execution rigor, structureddecision-making, and high-impact problem-solving.Leverage market insights & data to refine strategies based on competitivedynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends.Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Data teams to align strategies withplatform capabilities and client success metrics.Serve as the category expert, providing insights, trends, and competitivebenchmarks to inform company-wide strategy.Build adaptable category frameworks that incorporate best practices in pricing,merchandising, and digital growth.What We’re Looking For3-6 years of experience in category management, strategy, consulting, ore-commerce with expertise in D2C scaling.Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approachto decision-making.Experience in P&L ownership, revenue growth, and cross-functional collaboration.Hands-on experience in digital marketing in a D2C/e-commerce context is a plus.Ability to synthesize insights into actionable frameworks that drive measurableimpact.What We OfferA high-impact role in shaping category strategy and growth in the D2C space.A fast-paced, dynamic work environment where data-backed decision-making isvalued.The opportunity to directly impact the profitability and success of diversee-commerce categories.Skills: growth manager,d2c,category lead,category manager,p & l oversight
