Category Leader – Oils and Fats

Key Responsibilities1. Category Strategy & DevelopmentDevelop and execute the business plan for the Oils & Fats category aligned with company objectives.Identify market opportunities, growth segments, and product innovation areas.Build and manage supplier relationships for sourcing, quality, and innovation.Evaluate market trends and competitor activities to maintain category leadership.2. Business Development & SalesDrive revenue and margin growth for the category through B2B sales and key account management.Partner with regional sales teams to identify and convert new business opportunities.Lead technical discussions with customers on product application and performance.Achieve sales targets and manage pricing, forecasting, and inventory plans.3. Product ManagementDefine product portfolio, specifications, and value proposition for Oils & Fats.Collaborate with R&D and application teams for product trials, formulation support, and customer solutions.Ensure effective product lifecycle management including introductions, rationalization, and phase-outs.5. Performance Tracking & ReportingMonitor category performance metrics—sales volume, profitability, customer retention.Prepare periodic business reviews and competitor benchmarking reports.Support management in strategic planning and decision-making. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Food Technology, Oil & Fats Technology,.18 to 20 years of experience in B2B technical sales or category management within the oils & fats, bakery, or food ingredients industry.Strong technical understanding of edible oils, fats, emulsifiers, and related applications.Proven ability to manage supplier networks and key customer relationships.Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
