We believe the future of meat must be both sustainable and irresistible.We are searching for a detail-oriented and motivated Cell Culture Technician/Research Associate to support our scientific team in developing, optimising, and scaling processes for cultivated meat production. You must be adaptable and able to handle a range of laboratory tasks.As a start-up, Cellcraft is a fast-paced environment. Join us and help shape the future of food.TasksAssist in planning, conducting and analysing experiments in adherent and suspension cell culture, including media preparation, cell seeding, passaging, and monitoring cell health.Assist in setup, maintenance and analysis of bioreactor experimentsPerform analytical assays and support data analysis.Maintain aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols.Prepare and manage consumables and reagents for experiments.Accurately document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimise protocols.Support inventory management and ensure timely ordering of supplies.Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to research and development activities.RequirementsBachelor's degree in biotechnology, biology, or a related field.Hands-on experience in cell culture within a laboratory setting.Proficiency in aseptic techniques and the use of cell culture equipment.Familiarity with basic cell culture analytical techniques, such as immunofluorescent staining, flow cytometry, and qPCR.Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize cell culture processes.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to ethical standards.Familiarity with bioreactors for mammalian cell culture is preferable.BenefitsCompetitive compensationPrivate health InsurancePotential for excellent career progressionExposure to an up-and-coming disruptive and innovative marketOpportunity to be at the forefront of the cultivated meat industry and make a tangible impact on global sustainabilityJoin Cellcraft and revolutionize cultured meat innovation in Cambridge.
