CFOJohannesburgRetail/ Telecommunications Industry• Strategic Leadershipo Partner with the MD’s to develop and execute the company’s overall business stratego Drive the comy.pany’s financial planning in alignment with strategic objectives.o Oversee and manage capital investments (Capex) and significant overhead expenditure.o Lead corporate governance initiatives, ensuring compliance and ethical operations.o Provide guidance on investment strategies with consideration for cash and liquidity risks.o Perform comprehensive risk management by analysing liabilities and investments.o Maintain appropriate cash flow to support operational requirements.o Evaluate and integrate investment opportunities into the business.o Develop growth plans to increase profitability while reducing expenditure.• Operational Managemento Oversee the following business functions:o Finance: Finance & Reporting, Costing, Debtors, Creditors, Treasury, Taxo Stock Procurement – Importingo Stock Procurement & Warehousing – Local (Supply Chain)o Office/Facilities Managemento HRo Legalo Implement and monitor controls for all above functions.o Manage treasury operations, including:o Cash management and banking activitieso Net working capital managemento Manage and optimise key vendor relationships.• Financial Reportingo Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial reporting, including:o Monthly management accountso Forecasts and budgetso Annual financial statementso Quarterly reporting on financial performance to the Boardo Quarterly reporting on audit and risk-related matterso Group reporting requirementso Oversee the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to finaliseannual financial statements.• Statutory Complianceo Ensure compliance with all SARS reporting requirements (Income Tax, Provisional Tax, EMP).o Oversee adherence to the Companies Act.o Fulfil ICASA regulatory requirements. o Maintain and manage B-BBEE compliance.• Additional Responsibilitieso Provide cross-functional support across the business where required.o Oversee the insurance function, from declarations to claims management.o Initiate and manage projects aligned to role responsibilities.o Review and approve formal procedures related to finance, HR, and IT.o Provide training, guidance, and OKR management to all direct and indirect reports.o Manage all aspects of contract governance and administration.Education, Experience and Skills:Educationo CA (SA)o BComm (Hons) Accounting -Experienceo 5 to 10 years of financial management experience.o At least 5 years’ experience as senior FM of a similar size company is preferred.o Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software,o Knowledge of SAP B1.o Must have operational experience and be hands-onSkills and knowledge:o Decision-making and problem-solving skillso Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team memberso Honesty and integrityo Strong written and verbal communication skillso Ability to manage time effectivelyo Must be systems-driven and interested in IT
