About The ClientAn international fintech company creating custom payment solutions for businesses. The company operates as a PSP, helping clients worldwide manage financial flows efficiently. Offices are located in Riga and Cyprus. The team consists of around 50 people.Role OverviewAs a CFO, you will steer the finance organisation and collaborate closely with product, technology, and commercial teams. Your focus will be forecasting and liquidity, settlements and reconciliation, profitability protection, automation of finance systems, and building a scalable finance function. You will have a major impact on the company’s ability to grow sustainably, manage risk, and deliver value to international clients. The role involves active communication with international teams and requires a solid understanding of payment processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn revenue forecasting, scenario planning, and budgeting to support growth and stability.Ensure cost visibility and daily OPEX control across the organisation.Oversee merchant and acquirer settlements, daily reconciliation, and fee validation.Maintain real-time cash visibility and group-wide liquidity management.Analyse deals, pricing, and routing to protect margins and set financial boundaries for commercial decisions.Guarantee accurate bookkeeping, timely month-end close, and consolidated group reporting.Drive the transition from spreadsheets to automated finance systems (Backoffice, Sage, BI, APIs) and build the finance team with accountability.RequirementsProven track record as CFO or senior finance leader in a fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS scale-up environment.Strong experience in treasury management, acquirer flows, and reconciliation logic.Demonstrated ability to partner with tech and product teams, with a builder mindset.Skilled in driving profitability, protecting margins, working with pricing/routing/commercial finance.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, able to lead lean teams and structure scalable finance organisations.Key Soft SkillsStrategic mindset with strong business acumen and decision-making ability.
