Mid-senior position | full timeAbout the roleWe're looking for a highly experienced, strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial operations and contribute to the growth and success of our diverse portfolio of businesses. You will be a key member of the executive team, providing financial leadership, guidance, and expertise across all our ventures.ResponsibilitiesOversee all financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the holding company and its subsidiaries.Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.Lead and mentor the finance team across different companies.Identify and mitigate financial risks.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the founder and executive team.Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and auditors.Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.Find & Implement tax optimisation strategies.RequirementsEssential:Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Slovenian.At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 1 year in a senior leadership role (CFO, VP Finance, or similar).Strong understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.Expertise in corporate finance, accounting principles, and tax regulations.Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work from our offices in Ljubljana.Bonus Points:Experience in e-commerce, travel, real estate, or online education sectors.Experience with international financial operations.CPA or equivalent professional qualification.You are based in Ljubljana.About usWe are a holding company with 5+ fast growing businesses across different industries - from e-commerce, travel, real estate fund, online education etc. - with young and ambitious teams that operate those companies.All companies and most employees are based in Slovenia, and but sell to international customers worldwide.You will work closely with the founder who serves as CEO in some of those companies, and with his closest employees/partners.What’s in it for youWorking closely with the founder and exec teamWorking in a high-performance teamOpportunity to shape the financial future of fast-growing companies.A front-row seat in exciting, fast-growing companiesCompetitive salaryNext stepsWe’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
