Chairperson of the Board

We are currently advising a Corporate Finance client on the appointment of a Chairperson to their Board.This mandate represents a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, organised, credible, and suitably experienced individual to join a truly entrepreneurial business and hold a crucial role within the organisation. The appointed Chair will lead and manage the Board, providing leadership, setting expectations for the Company’s culture, and creating an environment for constructive, productive discussion and informed decision-making. The Chair’s role will be essential in steering the strategic direction of the Board and wider organisation, setting the agenda for board meetings and ensuring a balance of enthusiasm and pragmatic control. Indeed, the appointment will play a pivotal role in ensuring good corporate governance as a whole and balancing the interests of various stakeholders, facilitating effective and open communication, and collaboration within the Board and the wider organisation.We are interested in talking to candidates who have the ability/capacity to take on another role, which will comprise between 20-26 days per annum. It will be expected that some limited travel will be required in this role.Given the specific nature of the firm's business activities, it will be crucial that suitable candidates demonstrate a deep understanding of the sector either through an existing plural portfolio career of NED/Board work and/or a consistent and progressive executive career within Corporate Finance.
