Job Description

Skipton International is seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in producing management accounts, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting for Skipton International Limited (Skipton). You will support the senior team in preparing budgets and forecasts and assist other Finance Team members in managing all aspects of Skipton’s Finance function. Key AccountabilitiesGovernance and Reporting: Ensure robust governance, controls, monitoring, and reporting standards. Financial Returns: Submit accurate financial, regulatory, and statutory returns on time. Management Accounts: Lead the production and analysis of management accounts, discussing trends with senior management. Management Information:

Prepare and monitor various types of management information. Regulatory Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory and group reporting. Team Leadership: Review team members’ work and train the trainee accountant. Information Requirements: Assess new management information requirements and design solutions. Budgets and Forecasts: Assist in building and monitoring budgets and forecasts. ICAAP and Corporate Plan: Help prepare the annual ICAAP and Corporate Plan documents. Balance Sheet Risks: Monitor and manage balance sheet risks. General ResponsibilitiesTime Management: Deliver timely, quality work. Standards: Uphold Skipton’s high standards in governance, controls, and reporting. Procedures: Keep finance team procedures up-to-date. Security:

Comply with data/computer security procedures. Service Delivery: Deliver excellent service to customers and stakeholders. Change Management: Embrace and promote change to drive high performance. Learning and Development: Engage in learning and development to build capability and support career planning. Performance Clarity: Ensure clarity on expectations and objectives for performance reviews. Confidentiality: Maintain customer confidentiality and data integrity. Key performance indicatorsQuality and timeliness of monthly management accounts and annual Financial Statements. Results of internal and external audits. Quality and timeliness of monthly Key Performance Indicator pack and regulatory returns.

Quality and timeliness of Corporate Plan, QRM inputs/outputs, Reverse Stress Test, and ICAAP. Adherence to Treasury Policy. Essential RequirementsMembership of ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, or CIMA. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships. Analyse and interpret data, presenting findings appropriately. Interpret complex accounting standards and regulations. Knowledge of Accounting Standards and Financial Services regulation. Minimum of 3 years in an accounting, audit, or financial role. Accountable for high-profile deliverables with a track record of quality delivery. Comprehensive knowledge of operational processes, procedures, and technology.
