Looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Plant Engineer (Chemical engineer background)- you will play a key role in driving production efficiency, process improvements, and overall plant performance. This role is designed as a growth opportunity leading to a Plant Manager position, offering professional development, leadership exposure, and advancement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities: The Plant Engineer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability.Manage daily plant operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.Approve production processes prior to implementation and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.Optimize production efficiency, quality control, and resource utilization to drive operational excellence.Determine staffing and equipment needs based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.Utilize MRP/ERP systems for production planning and resource management.Participate in on-site and off-site facility walkthroughs as needed to ensure operational readiness and customer satisfaction.Collaborate across departments to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred (Mechanical or Materials Engineering also considered).2-5 years of experience; or recent graduates with a Chemical Engineer degree. Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.Experience with PLC programming (if/then logic, Programmable Logic Controller) preferred.Hands-on knowledge of hand tools and lean manufacturing processes.Experience with 3D modeling software desirable.Basic understanding of chemistry and familiarity with chemical manufacturing processes a plus.Ability to prioritize work efficiently and maintain strong attendance and punctuality standards.
