UPL offers an integrated portfolio of both patented and post-patent agricultural solutions for various row crops and specialty crops, including crop protection, BioSolutions and seed treatments covering the entire crop value chain.For more information on new UPL, visit: https://www.upl-ltd.com/Major AccountabilitiesObjectives: Monthly reporting, financial controlling and accounting report for the Group following internal processes as well as Budget and Forecast preparation in partnership with the Country Manager.Job Description:Annual preparation of Financial Statements according to local GAAP.Supervise Accounts Payable function managed by a shared service center and external providers.Support and monitoring Accounts Receivables, and credit management.Monitor payment transactions, cash flow forecast, etc.Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS following the company’s timelines. Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books.Manage travel expenses.Lead interaction with both external and internal auditors (e.g. statutory audit, tax audit) and tax advisors and coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive a timely completion of audits, tax filings etc.Accruals validation especially for Rebate and Loyalty programs.Manage monthly & annual VAT returns with support of external consultant.Monitor payroll accounts and fixed asset accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.Managing payroll in cooperation with external provider.Respond to ad-hoc requests from management and external stakeholders such as the tax office, auditors, banks, etc.Support of the business in its growth targets and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes, including support to the Country Manager in respect of Budget, Forecast, Actuals details as requested by the company.Qualifications and Skills:Qualified Accountant with approx. 4 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing or Finance functions with solid knowledge of Financial Reporting and Accounting processes (Masters degree in finance / accounting)Extensive knowledge of SAP is crucialKnowledge of preparation of financial statements according to local rules and IFRSAdvanced MS ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesMotivated, flexible, result-oriented and comfortable with periods of high work pressureFluent command of both Romanian and English, both written and spokenDiversity&Inclusion at UPL:UPL is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or preference, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Notice to Recruiters and Staffing Agencies:UPL and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("UPL") have an internal recruiting department.
