Frictape Ltd. is a manufacturer of helideck aviation safety equipment, including helideck safety nets and Circle & H approach lighting solutions. Founded 40 years ago, Frictape Ltd. has grown to serve over 2000 installations worldwide for offshore Oil & Gas, military and wind power. Our international team employs 35 professionals, of which 14 are located in Finland. We are a growing, dynamic and truly global, fast-paced team, and are looking for a new ambitious, goals driven engineer to join our small, dynamic R&D team. Chief Electrical EngineerFrictape is growing, and we are now thrilled to be strengthening our R&D team with a whole new role – Chief Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will be Frictape’s first in-house Electrical Engineer and cooperate in tight collaboration with our own organization, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders in electrical matters.As we are expanding our helideck lighting solutions, you will play a key role in developing Frictape’s new products as well as improving existing ones being responsible for electrical design. Your daily tasks include e.g. creation of detailed engineering drawings using CAD, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders on detailed electrical, layout and systems design and ensuring designs meet customer expectations and fulfil mandatory safety regulations. You will also engage in problem-solving of challenging customer cases and contribute to product improvement initiatives.You will get strong support and onboarding from R&D Director Jani, and your colleague Harold specializing in mechanics and testing, and of course the rest of the Frictape’s team. After the onboarding period, you will be the main go-to person inside Frictape for electrical engineering matters, but you are always provided with the support needed to succeed in your role.This is a full-time position, and you can work partly remotely, but we aim to meet each other on a weekly basis in our HQ in Vantaa, Finland. The salary range for this position is around 4000-5500€ (base salary) based on your experience, and in addition we have a dynamic bonus model.
