As a senior executive, you will play a key role in shaping our financial infrastructure, supporting our investor relations, and ensuring strong fiscal governance as we scale our operations and manufacturing in Canada.This is a strategic role for a finance leader who thrives in early-stage, high-growth environments and brings experience working with startups, investors, and innovation-focused industries.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the company’s capital raise (SAFE, equity, and non-dilutive funding)Build and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts, and cash flow planningSupport investor outreach, due diligence, and data room preparationOversee financial reporting, controls, and accounting in collaboration with external partnersMonitor KPIs, burn rate, CAC/LTV, runway, and cost structuresGuide budgeting and financial decision-making across departmentsAdvise on funding strategy, equity dilution, and valuation scenariosEnsure compliance with Canadian tax laws, SR&ED, and grant opportunitiesCollaborate with the CEO and executive team on company strategy and fundraising milestonesQualificationsCPA designation (required)7–10+ years of financial leadership, ideally within tech startups or hardware manufacturingExperience managing or supporting venture capital fundraising roundsStrong background in financial modeling, cap table management, and forecastingFamiliarity with Canadian startup tax credits and funding programs (e.g. IRAP, SDTC, SR&ED)Excellent communication skills and ability to present financials to stakeholders and investorsProficient in QuickBooks, financial tools, and dashboarding/reporting platformsNice to HavePrior experience in clean tech, IoT, or product-based startupsNetwork of investors, accelerators, and funding partners in North AmericaUnderstanding of financial needs related to setting up or scaling manufacturing operationsWhy Join UsBe a key executive in a purpose-driven company focused on sustainability and smart techShape the financial future of a Canadian venture with real growth potentialLead capital strategy, investor relations, and financial infrastructure from the ground upFlexible, remote-first structure with equity opportunityWork at the intersection of innovation, energy efficiency, and real-world impact
