It is a cornerstone of cultural advocacy and education in the region.Role DescriptionThis is an on-site Finance Officer role located in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing and managing financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, conducting data analysis, and ensuring compliance with organizational and financial standards. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with team members to maintain clear and effective communication regarding financial operations and outcomes.QualificationsStrong skills in Financial Statements, Finance, and Financial ReportingProven Analytical Skills, including problem-solving and attention to detailExcellent Communication skills, including reporting financial data and collaborating with team membersKnowledge of accounting software and proficiency with financial toolsExperience in financial planning and budgeting is an assetUnderstanding of Indigenous cultural practices is considered an advantageDegree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
