This role is central to balancing profitability with compliance, optimizing capital, and enhancing governance in a dynamic banking landscape.Why Join?This is a unique opportunity to lead the financial strategy of a top-tier Nigerian commercial bank at a defining moment of transformation and growth to:Lead financial strategy to drive sustainable profitability and long-term shareholder value.Champion innovation in digital finance, data-led decision-making, and customer-centric value creation.Collaborate with a forward-thinking executive team, engaging with regulators, investors, rating agencies, and market stakeholders.Build a high-performance finance function that underpins resilience, operational efficiency, and disciplined risk management.Inspire and develop talent, foster excellence, accountability, and strategic business partnership across the Bank.The RoleAs the CFO, you will:Partner with the CEO and Executive Management to define and execute the Bank’s long-term financial strategy.Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation to support growth objectives.Ensure optimal balance sheet management, funding, liquidity, and compliance with regulatory standards.Lead M&A, capital raising, and investment initiatives to drive expansion and profitability.Support digital transformation through financial planning for fintech partnerships and technology investments.Represent the Bank to regulators, investors, rating agencies, and other key stakeholders.Drive performance through cost optimization, revenue growth, and accurate financial reporting to the Board and regulators.Provide leadership to Finance, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence.What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.ACA/ACCA, CFA or equivalent required.MBA or Master’s degree in finance/business administration is an advantage.Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in financial management, with at least 7 years in senior leadership within banking/financial services.Strong track record in strategic financial leadership, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.Experience in treasury, capital markets, or investment banking is highly desirable.DeadlineMonday, 24 November 2025
