This pivotal role is designed for an experienced professional with a distinguished background in military service, government service, and government contracting within the defense and intelligence sectors.You will be instrumental in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for our clients, leveraging your extensive network, deep understanding of the federal acquisition landscape, and proven ability to win significant contracts. This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your strategic acumen and hands-on experience to drive substantial growth for a dynamic consulting firm and its diverse client portfolio.Key Responsibilities:As Chief Growth Officer, you will be responsible for:Strategic Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities within the defense and intelligence government spaces that align with Krystle Klear Communications’ and our clients’ strategic objectives.Client Acquisition & Growth: Drive the full business development lifecycle, from lead generation and initial client engagement to proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers, government officials, military officers, industry partners, and prime contractors within the defense and intelligence communities.Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and identify emerging trends and client needs.Leverage Network: Actively utilize and expand your established network within the military and government sectors to generate leads and foster strategic partnerships.Thought Leadership: Provide expert insights and strategic guidance to KKC’s executive team and clients on navigating the complexities of federal contracting.What You Offer:Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in business development, government contracting, or related roles, with a demonstrable track record of winning significant contracts in the defense and intelligence sectors.Military/Government Background: Direct, relevant experience from military service (e.g., senior officer, NCO) or extensive professional experience within government agencies (e.g., DoD, Intelligence Community) or as a contractor supporting these entities.Deep Domain Expertise: In-depth understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), contracting vehicles, and the unique procurement processes of defense and intelligence agencies.Proven Network: An established and active professional network within the defense and intelligence communities.Strategic Acumen: Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex client needs into actionable business development strategies.Communication & Presentation: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively to senior-level audiences.Self-Starter & Autonomous: Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Location: While the majority of work will be remote, candidates based in the DMV area are strongly preferred for occasional in-person meetings and industry events.What We Offer:Impactful Work: The opportunity to directly influence the growth trajectories of innovative companies and contribute to critical defense and intelligence initiatives.Autonomy & Flexibility: A part-time consultant role offering significant autonomy and flexible scheduling to accommodate your professional commitments.Leverage Your Expertise: A platform to fully utilize your extensive experience, network, and strategic insights without the constraints of a full-time corporate role.Specialized Environment: Work with a highly focused and agile firm dedicated to strategic communications and business development in high-growth government sectors.Competitive Compensation: Compensation will be negotiated based on your extensive experience and the value you bring to our clients and firm.If you are a seasoned business development professional with a strong military or government background and a passion for winning in the defense and intelligence space, we encourage you to connect with us.Direct any questions and applications to Peter Booth peter@krystleklearcommunications
