Eaton Corporation is currently hiring for a Senior Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer position. This position is based at Eaton’s world headquarters in Dublin, Ireland and relocation within hiring region is offered.Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer, the SVP, Chief Procurement Officer will be responsible for leading the global procurement organization in support of the corporate vision and business strategies. Charged with managing a multi-billion dollar spend (~$10 billion+) which includes more than 25,000 suppliers, the SVP, Chief Procurement Officer provides strategic leadership, creating an efficient organizational structure to support Eaton’s growth. The incumbent will promote strong partnerships between business groups, engineering, IT and core suppliers to maximize spending level, increase leverage and create bottom-line impact by driving cost out management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain the SVP, Chief Procurement Officer leads the development and deployment of the global category strategies across the enterprise, driving towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the “One Supply Chain” philosophy. A Key aspect of the position is the ability to foster a collaborative environment with various business segments and functions such as Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Quality.Essential Responsibilities Ensure availability of products with the right quality, at the right time, with the price while managing a volatile demand profile of growing Industries such as Aerospace and Data Centers. Ensure the Procurement function maximizes supplier value contribution to achieve divisional and global/regional profit plans for cost out and working capital improvement. Responsible for driving and delivering the global material cost reduction goals, working capital improvement, quality and delivery improvements within each region’s profit plan. Create, develop and coordinate the global commodity strategies along with Global SCM Leadership, according to various Tax jurisdictions and global regulatory rules and regulations, with outcomes that include a reduced supply base, increased resilience, improved SCM metrics. DPO, DOH, quality, delivery, identification and growth of strategic Suppliers, close management of supplier performance. Leads the Organization in risk management to ensure continuity of supply for all businesses and locations. Drive the construction, negotiation and execution of Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key Suppliers to mitigate price and other commercial and legal risks. Positions Eaton for success to better manage economic and political risks via shifting commodity pricing, global trade tariffs, etc. Develop and maintain functional excellence in all facets of the Procurement function, from transaction activity through strategic sourcing. Responsible for a team of ~300 Procurement professionals globally with teams located in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Develop talent to ensure long term Organizational capability pipeline is healthy and capable of driving Eaton’s cost out performance to world-class levels. Flawlessly execute procurement processes and look for opportunities to continuously improve the processes. Supports strong collaboration with engineering, IT, business groups to secure data accuracy, deliver VAVE, Design to Value projects and availability. Responsible for partnering with the Vice President of Global Materials and Logistics to execute Eaton's Total Cost of Ownership Program to ensure the best possible sourcing process for Eaton.QualificationsMinimum (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 15 years of professional experience Minimum 10 years of direct leadership experience Experience working in a global manufacturing organization Experience in senior procurement leadership roles with responsibility for multi-billion dollar spendPreferred Qualifications MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Finance 20 years’ business & functional leadership experience with a proven track record across the full breadth of SCM disciplines or business operations and P&L experience Procurement leadership experience for industrial and electrical marketsPosition Success Criteria Proven track record in global/regional Supply Chain leadership roles at a senior level with large industrials across the breadth of SCM disciplines including Materials & Logistics, Operations as well as Procurement/Sourcing. Demonstrated business & commercial acumen, ideally with experience running a successful P&L. Good understanding of Manufacturing Processes & Ecosystems in Global Organizations. Demonstrated experience in successfully developing / deploying commodity strategies and driving annual productivity performance. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results through cross-functional business initiatives and commodity strategies. Managerial, collaborative, and change management skills are necessary to achieve and meet SCM and customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move projects and initiatives forward. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability align the vision to business goals with Eaton’s Operating for Growth Strategy. This includes coaching and motivating team members while serving as a role model for the entire cross-functional team. Passionate change leader with high energy and the ability to work effectively across a complex, global organization. Excellent analytical and strategic skills, great intellectual rigor and ability to learn fast. Good business judgment and problem-solving skills. Strong financial acumen with superb negotiation skills, and operational experience desired. Possesses the ability to resolve issues on all levels.
