The Client Betty Elaine Kindergarten is a reputable early childhood education provider dedicated to supporting children's holistic development through a nurturing, play-based learning environment.As the demand for services grows, they seek an experienced and passionate Child Care Worker to join their team in Lidcombe, NSWThe RoleThis is a full-time position with an annual salary set at $78,000 plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesAssisting in setting up and preparing educational and recreational materials for children's activitiesManaging children's behaviour and helping them develop positive social skillsPlanning and conducting age-appropriate activities for children's learning and entertainmentEngaging children with stories, games, and creative play to promote learningSupervising children during recreational activities to ensure safety and engagementOverseeing children's daily routines, including transitions between activitiesEnsuring children's hygiene is maintained by supporting hand washing and toileting routinesEncouraging children to participate in group activities to enhance social interactionProviding individual attention to children as needed to support their emotional and developmental needsMonitoring children's progress and providing feedback to parents or guardiansCollaborating with other staff members to create a nurturing and educational environmentAssisting children with meals and ensuring they are following proper mealtime etiquetteManaging conflict resolution between children in a calm and constructive mannerMaintaining a clean and organized environment for children to explore and playThe RequirementsMinimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and CareAt least 2 years of demonstrated experience in early childhood education or childcare.At least 2 years of experience supervising children during daily routines and recreational activities.At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing learning programs aligned with EYLF.At least 2 years of experience engaging with parents and guardians to support children's progress.At least 2 years of experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary childcare team.Comprehensive knowledge of early learning frameworks and child development principles.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.Current First Aid and CPR certifications (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management).Proven adaptability and commitment to providing quality early childhood education.
