Now is a great time to join us!The RoleThe Works Unit is looking for multiple Civil Construction Workers to join the team and support the delivery of civil projects across the City of Greater Bendigo.In this role you will undertake a range of tasks related to civil construction work (usually within the road reserve), infrastructure maintenance and associated activities including drainage, concreting, paving, earthworks and asphalting.The position includes a 9 day working fortnight (fortnightly RDO) and is based at the City’s Adam Street depot in Golden Square where you will travel out to site to service the City of Greater Bendigo area.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have skills and experience in:Civil construction, general road maintenance, landscaping or concrete workSafe and competent operation of a range of plant and equipment associated with road construction and maintenance activitiesEffectively manage a safe and efficient worksiteGood communication skills with a customer service focusThe ability to work as a cooperative and effective team memberThis is a physically demanding role, that may involve regular lifting, digging and general labouring.A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.BenefitsFull time position | Secure and stable employment | Work a 9 day fortnight (RDO)Annual salary increases | 17.5% annual leave loading | Above award wagesAll PPE, tools and equipment supplied | Paid allowances | Paid overtimeVisit our Employee Benefits website for more of our benefits.ContactIf you require any further information regarding this position, please contact Michael Mc Intyre, Acting Construction Coordinator on 0436 471 047.
