Mission Beach State School is seeking applications from energetic, honest, and reliable individuals to join our cleaning team.As a cleaner, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school site by providing a high level of cleaning support.The successful candidate will need to work split shifts.The shifts will be Wednesday - Friday, morning shift 5:30am - 8:30am and afternoon shifts 2:30pm - 4:30pm.If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.39FTE), 29.5 hours per fortnight.About The SchoolMission Beach State School is located on the stunning Queensland coast, nestled between the Great Barrier Reef and lush rainforests. Mission Beach State School is committed to delivering the Australian curriculum through high-quality teaching and learning practices.About The RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and proactive Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.Key Responsibilities IncludeCleaning and sanitising classrooms, offices, toilets, and shared spaces to a high standard.Performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and hosing.Maintaining and safely storing cleaning equipment and materials in line with workplace health and safety guidelines.Reporting maintenance, safety, or security concerns to the Principal or Business Manager.Assisting with the preparation and cleaning of school facilities for special events or functions.This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoys contributing to a positive and clean school environment.About YouThe following traits would be beneficial:Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a school or similar environment.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.Awareness of workplace health and safety practices.Why Join UsMission Beach State School offers a supportive and community-focused work environment where every staff member plays a vital role in creating a safe and positive space for learning.
