This is a business development and sales-focused role where you’ll help to develop leads and do client outreach, while driving business growth in a highly specialized industry.Picturae in a NutshellPicturae has been digitizing natural heritage and biodiversity collections for the past 12,5 years (and cultural heritage for 25+) at the highest level. We are a global market leader in biodiversity digitization with our Herbarium Conveyor and Entomology Conveyor. We are a trusted partner of the natural heritage sector. We drive end-to-end mass-digitization projects, for which a sales cycle of 5+ years is not uncommon.Why Picturae?Make an Impact: Help preserve priceless natural heritage and biodiversity collections.Travel and Learning Opportunities: Engage with museums across Europe, South-East Asia & Pacific, get an insight in the inner workings of these amazing institutes.Collaborative Environment: Work with a passionate, international team.Career Growth: Receive mentorship and training to grow into a more senior position.Your ResponsibilitiesBuild ConnectionsSupport the sales team in developing and nurturing relationships with institutions in the biodiversity and natural heritage sectors (mainly natural history museums, herbaria, and universities).Actively engage in the generation of new leads through research, direct outreach, and professional conferences.Help your connections understand the road towards a mass-digitization project.Contribute to building repeat business and encouraging referrals.Drive GrowthSecure new clients and projects across Europe, South-East Asia & Pacific.Help translate client needs into proposals and project workflows.Collaborate with our Operations Team and technical experts to deliver customized solutions.Work with our Communications and Marketing colleagues to build content and share our experienceReport and StrategizeTrack progress using our CRM system.Provide input to the international team to support sales targets and revenue projections.What You BringBachelor’s degree, min. of 3 years of professional experience.Educational or professional background related to natural heritage, biodiversity, or botanical collections (e.g. herbaria, natural history museums, research institutions).Existing network in the natural heritage sector is a strong plus.A knack for commercial success (experience in lead generation, tenders, and meeting KPIs is essential).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate with teams across different countries and cultures.Willingness to travel internationally and attend occasional evening or weekend events.Fluent in the English languageThe CompanyPicturae digitizes unique scientific and historical collections for leading international clients.
