ApplyDescriptionPosition SummaryThe Client Solutions Engineer supports VitalECM’s enterprise clients by implementing, configuring, and optimizing FileBound and related ECM (Enterprise Content Management) technologies. This role manages legacy system conversions, transforms data and documents for import, and configures customized FileBound projects, fields, and workflows tailored to each client’s business requirements.The ideal candidate is a technically strong problem solver with exceptional attention to detail, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Prior experience with FileBound, ECM platforms, or document management systems is highly preferred; however, technically driven, self-motivated candidates with strong analytical capabilities will also be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesECM & FileBound Configuration Configure, customize, and deploy FileBound projects, fields, forms, and automated workflows. Translate business processes into efficient workflow logic that improves compliance, accuracy, and productivity. Manage user access, security settings, retention rules, and document routing structures.Legacy System Conversion & Data Migration Perform end-to-end migration of data and documents from legacy document management systems into FileBound. Prepare, clean, validate, and map sensitive data for import following FileBound specifications. Conduct document image preparation, indexing, metadata mapping, and quality assurance before migration. Troubleshoot data irregularities and resolve issues to maintain integrity throughout the conversion process.Client Solutions & Technical Support Serve as a technical consultant on FileBound features, integrations, and best practices. Lead requirements-gathering sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and document solution needs. Provide training, demonstrations, and ongoing user support for the FileBound platform. Partner closely with Client Success, Project Management, and VitalChart/VRC teams to ensure seamless implementation.Quality, Security & Compliance Work with highly sensitive and confidential documents and data in accordance with VRC’s security protocols. Ensure all migration and configuration methods meet data integrity, quality, and compliance requirements. Adhere to internal and client-specific data governance and privacy standards during all implementation work.Core Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for technical and workflow-related challenges. Detail-oriented work style with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in data, documents, and configurations. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and documentation requirements. Ability to translate technical requirements into user-friendly explanations for clients and internal teams. Self-starter with high motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong customer service focus and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners.RequirementsQualifications Required: Experience in IT, data management, information systems, or technical consulting. Understanding of data structures, document indexing, metadata mapping, and workflow systems. Strong proficiency with Excel, CSV manipulation, and related data preparation tools. Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Preferred Prior experience with FileBound, ECM platforms, or document management solutions. Experience migrating data from legacy systems. Familiarity with workflow automation or business process modeling. Experience in secure handling of PHI, legal records, or other sensitive document types.Security & Background RequirementsBecause this role works with highly sensitive client documents, regulated data, and protected information, the contractor will be required to undergo required security and compliance checks prior to engagement. These may include: Criminal background check Identity verification Employment/contract history verification Data security and confidentiality screening Client-specific clearance checks (as required)Contractor Must Also Agree To And Comply With Confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) Data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, or client-specific requirements) VRC/VitalECM information security protocols Secure workstation, device, and network standardsFailure to meet or maintain security requirements may result in immediate termination of the engagement.Employment Classification: 1099 Independent ContractorIndependent Contractor ClassificationRoleThis position is structured as a 1099 Independent Contractor role. The individual engaged in this role will not be considered an employee of VitalECM or Vital Records Control (VRC). As an independent contractor: You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses. You will maintain control over how and when the work is performed, while meeting agreed-upon project deadlines and deliverables. You are not eligible for employee benefits, including health insurance, PTO, retirement plans, or workers’ compensation coverage. You may perform services for other clients, provided that such work does not conflict with deliverables, confidentiality obligations, or project timelines for VitalECM.
