Clinical Lead - Population Health Insights

Our Future Health will be the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. Diseases like cancer, dementia, diabetes, and heart disease affect the lives of many people in our communities. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research, to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start, so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.We're looking for a Clinical Lead to join our Population Health Insights team, contributing to the population health insights strategy, including a major Wellcome-funded initiative to develop a pioneering digital population health intelligence product.As an integral member of the Population Health Insights team, you will :Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering, Communications, Design and Science teams, to test assumptions and inform requirements for the production of population health insight digital productsOffer recommendations on the communication of clinical insights. Work with Delivery, Ethics & Regulatory, Science, Product and Design, and external agencies to ensure the population health insights tools include all essential considerations and are tested with the appropriate stakeholdersCo-design with stakeholders from NHS, Integrated Care Systems, Public Health Teams, policy makers and other relevant organisations to explore, scope and prioritise opportunities for population health insights products. Work with Science, Partnerships, and our Researcher & Data Teams to ensure our population health insights products meet the needs and requirements of health planners, policy makers and public health usersProvide clinical input to product development projects to help inform and shape the vision from a public health perspective, while complying with regulatory constraints and at the same time delivering an engaging experience for participantsProvide clinical input to the digital clinical safety work of Our Future HealthRepresent population health insights to various Groups internally and externallyWork closely with the Head of Product and Head of Regulatory Affairs to ensure products, where needed, are compliant within the changing regulations in Great Britain and Northern IrelandRequirementsClinical background with relevant experience in digital health tech developmentProven experience in health technology initiatives and collaborating with product, scientific and engineering teamsSignificant experience of clinical evidence reviewExperience of translation of findings into digital clinical algorithms and data queriesExperience of designing and conducting clinical audits and research projectsIdeally, knowledge of the opportunities presented by pharmacogenomics and polygenic risk scoresStrong communication skills, capable of engaging with technical, policy, and clinical teams, as well as NHS, industry, and government stakeholdersKnowledge of digital clinical safety best practice and experience of implementingAbility to navigate complex programs with significant digital aspects, providing clarity and direction amidst changeCurrent professional / clinical registration preferredBenefitsSalary from £55,000Generous Pension Scheme - We invest in your future with employer contributions of up to 12%30 Days Holiday pro rata + Bank Holidays - Enjoy a generous holiday allowance with the flexibility to take bank holidays when it suits youEnhanced Parental Leave - Supporting you during life's biggest momentsCycle to Work Scheme - Save 25-39% on a new bike and accessories through salary sacrificeHome & Tech Savings - Get up to 8% off on IKEA and Currys products, spreading the cost over 12 months through salary sacrifice£1,000 Employee Referral Bonus - Know someone amazing?
