Position Title: Clinical Operations Data Analyst – Provider Staffing & CensusLocation: Burnaby, British Columbia (on-site, 5 days a week)Reports To: Senior Vice President of OperationsCompensation: $55K - $65K CADPosition SummaryThe Clinical Operations Data Analyst – Provider Staffing & Census plays a key supporting role in helping leadership make informed decisions about provider coverage and patient census trends. This entry-level position focuses on collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to physicians (MDs) and advanced practice providers (APPs) delivering care in post-acute settings.Working closely with the Senior VP, the analyst helps track active facilities, maintain accurate census data, and develop reports and dashboards that support efficient staffing and operational planning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational experience in healthcare data analytics, provider operations, and performance reporting within a dynamic clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor active post-acute facilities and maintain up-to-date census and admission/discharge data.Assist in analyzing provider schedules, coverage patterns, and productivity data to identify potential staffing gaps.Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, KPIs, and reports that track provider-to-census ratios and coverage distribution.Prepare summary reports highlighting census trends, provider utilization, and facility performance for review by senior leadership.Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Operations teams to provide data that supports workforce planning and staffing forecasts.Validate data accuracy across internal systems and ensure consistency in provider and facility information.Contribute to the creation of “what-if” staffing or census models to support short-term operational decisions.Present findings in a clear and concise manner suitable for executive audiences.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all data privacy and organizational policies.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Health Administration, or a related field.1–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or healthcare operations (internships or co-op experience welcome).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences.Preferred QualificationsExperience or coursework related to healthcare operations, staffing, or census data.Familiarity with provider scheduling systems or post-acute care environments.Working knowledge of basic database concepts or data querying (e.g., SQL).
