As part of the global EW Group, we combine local expertise with world-leading genetics to support the Australian egg industry.We operate two major hatcheries in Victoria, and we are seeking experienced Cloacal Chick Sexers to join our dedicated hatchery teams. This is a full-time permanent role with competitive remuneration.Key Responsibilities:•                   Sex day-old layer chicks using cloacal (vent) sexing techniques with minimum 98% accuracy and a 48.5% sexing split.•                   Maintain productivity targets of at least 900 chicks per hour.•                   Handle chicks carefully to ensure welfare and quality standards.•                   Work early morning shifts (typically 6.30am – 3.00pm), with rostered days based on hatch schedules.•                   Adhere to strict biosecurity, hygiene, and animal welfare protocols.About You:•                   Experienced cloacal chick sexer with a proven track record in high-volume hatchery operations.•                   Highly desirable: A Diploma level or higher in science, majoring in animal science, or other relevant qualification. Alternatively, minimum 3 years’ experience that would satisfy this requirement.•                   Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and animal welfare commitment.•                   Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and as part of a team.•                   Willingness to comply with our strict biosecurity standards, including no ownership of pet birds, poultry, pigs, or other intensive livestock.What We Offer:•                   Competitive salary package ranging from AU$80,000 to AU$100,000 per annum, based on accuracy and productivity.•                   Full-time permanent employment.•                   Relocation assistance for suitable candidates. •                   Opportunities for professional growth within Australia’s leading layer breeder company•                   Be part of a team committed to biosecurity, animal welfare, and operational excellenceHow to apply:If you have the skills and qualifications we are seeking, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining why you are the ideal applicant.SBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites applications from all suitably qualified applicants.Applications close:  Wednesday, 3 December 2025
