Cloud Architect

Cleeven is an Engineering, R&D, and IT consulting group supporting clients in their R&D efforts and operational excellence. We specialize in innovation and advanced engineering across multiple sectors, including energy, aerospace & defense, transportation, pharmaceuticals & chemicals, and IT & telecoms.We are currently looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer / CloudOps Architect to join our team. In this role, you will design, operate, and evolve secure, automated Azure IaaS/PaaS platforms for Cleeven and our clients. You will work closely with architects, security, and product teams to deliver resilient cloud foundations and accelerate application delivery—combining hands-on engineering with architectural leadership.Your ResponsibilitiesLead improvements to CloudOps practices, automation, and service reliability across Azure environments.Design, implement, and operate Azure landing zones in line with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).Define cloud architecture, policies, and guardrails for provisioning, access, networking, and cost governance.Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and Terraform; champion GitOps practices.Implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, artifacts) and enable automated testing and release.Operate and harden Azure services (e.g., VM Scale Sets, App Services, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, API Management).Drive platform security and compliance (Azure AD/Microsoft Entra, RBAC, PIM, Defender for Cloud, policy as code).Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights) and SRE metrics (SLIs/SLOs).Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and proactively optimize cost, performance, and reliability.Mentor engineers and collaborate with the Chief Architect on cloud strategy and roadmap.Qualifications3+ years of experience in CloudOps/SRE/Platform Engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.Proven track record leading improvements in technically advanced, secure cloud environments.Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps and IaC (Bicep, Terraform).Experience with containers and orchestration—preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Solid understanding of identity, networking, security, and governance in Azure (Entra ID, VNets, policies/blueprints).Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum and driving cross-functional collaboration.Strong problem-solving skills; able to think strategically and execute pragmatically.Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish proficiency is a strong plus.Nice to Have (Certifications & Tools)Microsoft: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, SC-100/SC-200Kubernetes: CKA/CKADHashiCorp: Terraform AssociateExperience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD/Flux, DSC/Ansible, Pester, PowerShell/Python.If you’re passionate about building secure, automated Azure platforms and want to shape how modern cloud services are delivered, we’d love to hear from you.
