HIL Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a HIL Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.The roleWe are seeking a highly experienced HIL Engineer to lead the development and validation of electric propulsion systems using DSpace HIL platforms. This role requires deep technical knowledge in Python, expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, and real-time simulation, along with a strong understanding of electric motors, power electronics, and traction batteries. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement and contribute to vehicle-level verification, sensor integration, and test automation.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain HIL test environments using DSpace ControlDesk and ConfigurationDesk.Model and simulate electric propulsion systems using MATLAB/Simulink.Automate test cases and data analysis using Python and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.Collaborate with stakeholders across domains to define test strategies and ensure alignment with system requirements.Integrate sensors and simulate vehicle-level behaviors for comprehensive validation.Conduct real-time simulation and fault injection testing for embedded control systems.Support middleware and software platform development for HIL integration.Perform domain-level and core-level testing for propulsion systems.Document test procedures, configurations, and results in alignment with project standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:7–10 years of experience in HIL development, preferably with DSpace systems.Proficiency in Python and MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, scripting, and automation.Hands-on experience with ControlDesk and ConfigurationDesk as primary tools.Strong understanding of real-time simulation, CAN, and Automotive Ethernet.Experience with CI/CD, software testing frameworks, and version control systems.Knowledge of electric motors, power electronics, and traction battery systems.Familiarity with sensor integration and vehicle-level testing methodologies.Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage complex technical interfaces.If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on then we would love to hear from you.Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.Tata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest, each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
