About The OpportunityA high-impact role in the Steel Manufacturing & Distribution sector, supporting industrial, construction and fabrication customers across India. This position sits in a commercial organisation that sells finished and semi-finished steel (TMT, HR/CR coils, plates, sections) through direct accounts, dealers and project channels.Role & ResponsibilitiesOwn commercial performance for an assigned cluster: drive revenue, margin and market share by executing a focused sales plan across key accounts, projects and distribution channels.Develop and expand dealer/distributor networks and channel partnerships to increase reach, improve fill-rates and reduce lead times.Lead strategic account management for large industrial and project customers—manage tenders, RFQs, quotes and contract negotiations to secure profitable business.Coordinate with operations, supply chain and logistics to ensure on-time deliveries, manage stock levels, and resolve customer escalations swiftly.Set pricing and commercial terms in line with margin targets; implement promotional and incentive programs for channel partners.Own sales forecasting, pipeline hygiene and reporting—provide market intelligence, competitor analysis and actionable insights to leadership.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveKey Account ManagementChannel DevelopmentTender ManagementContract NegotiationSalesforce CRMSAP SDSteel Product KnowledgePricing & MarginOptimizationPreferredProven track record leading cluster/territory sales in the steel or heavy materials industry in IndiaExperience managing dealer networks and B2B project salesWillingness to travel extensively across the cluster and valid driving licenceBenefits & Culture HighlightsPerformance-linked incentive structure with clear upside for over-achievement.Field-first culture with autonomy to shape cluster strategy and grow into Regional leadership roles.Cross-functional exposure to operations, supply chain and product teams that accelerate commercial career progression.Location: On-site across India.
