Commercial Credit UnderwriterOverview:Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a skilled Commercial Credit Underwriter to evaluate and manage commercial lending opportunities, ensuring strong risk management and portfolio performance. This role involves analyzing financial data, structuring loans, and monitoring ongoing commercial credit relationships across a variety of loan types.Responsibilities:Assess financial statements, tax returns, business plans, and projections to determine borrowers' ability to meet debt obligations.Develop detailed loan recommendations, including risk analysis, justification of risk ratings, and supporting documentation for approval processes.Review collateral, appraisals, leases, contracts, environmental reports, insurance, and other relevant information to evaluate risk exposure.Collaborate with lending teams to structure loans that mitigate risk while meeting client needs.Conduct portfolio monitoring and independent loan reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Support special projects and contribute to process improvements as needed.Maintain adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.3+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial risk assessment required.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to evaluate complex financial and legal documents.Intermediate to Advanced Excel Required.Knowledge of credit risk management principles and regulatory compliance.Work Hours:Monday - Friday, First Shift All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
