Commercial Director

Embark on a rewarding journey with RLB, a global leader in construction consultancy services. In view of the continued success within the practice, we have an immediate vacancy for a bright and enthusiastic Commercial Director to join our team in Maldives. Responsibilities:Be the Client’s point of contact for all commercial, contractual issues and procurement.Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize project profitability and minimize risk.Lead the commercial function across multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account.Provide strategic advice to senior management on commercial opportunities and challenges.Establish and enforce policies for effective contract administration, procurement, and cost control.Oversee tendering, contract negotiations, and execution of agreements with clients, consultants, and contractors.Identify, assess, and manage project risks to protect the company's interests.Lead dispute resolution, claims management, and settlement negotiations when necessary.Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models for construction projects.Monitor project cash flow, expenditure, and cost-to-complete reports.Ensure timely preparation of valuations, variations, and progress claims.Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost efficiency.Work closely with project directors, project managers, and site teams to ensure alignment of commercial and operational objectives.Provide oversight on procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, and supply chain management.Support project teams in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Represent the company in commercial discussions, presentations, and negotiations.Drive customer satisfaction and contribute to business development initiatives.Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial management team (quantity surveyors, project managers, procurement specialists).Foster a high-performance culture with focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline from a recognised University (Master’s preferred).Professional membership (RICS, CIOB or equivalent) is highly desirable.Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in commercial management within the construction and project management sector.Strong track record in managing contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JCT or equivalent) and large-scale construction projects.Proven expertise in cost management, claims, risk mitigation and negotiation.If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to our continued growth, we want to hear from you!Apply now and be part of our dedicated team at RLB Maldives.Please apply by sending us your CV along with your Certificates directly through any of the following means:LinkedInBy email: ziyadh.yoosuf@mv.rlb.com
