Job Description:The Commercial Finance Manager (Reference A001) will be based in Croydon and is responsible for business partnering with all teams in the business to provide accurate, timely and quality information to support our growth plans.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Finance Manger to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, financial reporting and providing commercial insights. You will join our team and support the company mission to deliver excellence in care through strong challenging assumptions, shaping decision-making and driving long-term value.Reporting to the interim Fractional Chief Financial Officer you will have a significant amount of responsibility and there are excellent opportunities for career progression.Key responsibilities:Budgeting/Forecasting and Reporting:· To build, maintain and own the budget and forecasting process for the P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow· To report regularly on variances to budget and/or forecast and highlight potential risks and opportunities· To ensure that the financial plans reflect the strategic objectives and direction of the business· Support the Group Finance Manager in ensuring accurate financial reporting· Lead on the development and preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, offering insights on performance and helping our operations teams make informed decisions.· Develop customer and project profitability forecasts· Develop scenario analysis and apply to all forecasts/budgets· Review and understand the sales pipeline and the costs of customer acquisitionBusiness Partnering:· Work with the operations teams (sales/IT/marketing/operations) to provide support for budgeting and forecasting and understand the impact of each function of the overall business· Work with each operational team to build relevant metrics/KPIs to report on efficiency and effectivenessCommercial Bid/Tenders:· Take the lead on providing financial information to support bids and tenders· Assist on pricing decisions and review of customer profitability· Develop best practice for business case approvals, including capex and customer renegotiationsQualifications & Experience:Experience:· Track record of proven significant exposure to budgeting and forecasting· Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs· Experience in applying scenario modelling and aligning long term forecasts to strategic objectives· Inquisitive and commercial aware – able to understand both the financials and the overall business objectives· CIMA/ACCA qualified ideally or late-stage studierKey Skills and Attributes:· Strong commercial finance experience· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Strong organisational and time management skills· High attention to detail and accuracy.· Highly proficient in Excel.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.· Commitment to professional development and keeping up with industry changes.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
