We Go Beyond for a Safer WorldTe Tūranga - The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Financial Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving strategic commercial outcomes across the Tait Group.Reporting to the Group Commercial Manager, you will provide critical financial insights that enable informed decision-making and support sustainable business performance. You will analyze data, identify trends, and translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.In this role, you will ensure projects are grounded in robust financial analysis, support accurate budgeting and forecasting, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to optimize profitability, manage risk, and support strategic growth.The Duties Of The Role Will IncludeFinancial Analysis & InsightsDeliver accurate and timely financial analysis, including variance, margin, and profitability analysis.Provide actionable insights that support both strategic and operational decision-making.Project Budgeting, Forecasting & PlanningLead or support the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and business cases.Ensure financial plans align with business objectives and market conditions.Reporting & Performance ManagementPrepare and deliver monthly performance reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.Highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.Commercial Strategy SupportPartner with business units to evaluate pricing strategies, commercial opportunities, and investment decisions.Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives.Data & Information ManagementGather, validate, and maintain financial and operational data from multiple systems and sources.Ensure data integrity and accuracy for reporting and analysis.Stakeholder EngagementAct as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.Present complex financial information in a clear, business-focused manner.Risk & ComplianceIdentify financial risks and ensure adherence to policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.Support internal control and audit processes.Ō Pūkenga - About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring strong commercial and financial acumen, sound analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate insights with clarity and impact.
