Set the medium- and long-term direction for 3 waters services Work across the organisation and influence investment planning decision making Based in our Petone office close to the beach and shopsThis is a full time position of 40 hours per weekThe opportunityAs the Manager Strategic Planning you will lead a specialist team to set the medium and long-term direction for how water, wastewater and stormwater networks and services will evolve, ensuring that all planning and decision making about assets and investments is aligned with the organisation's overall goals and outcomes, sustainability and resilience priorities and stakeholder needs.You Will Get ToLead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary strategic planning team Drive the development and maintenance of strategic plans (10 -30 years with a 100-year horizon) for the evolution of each of the three water networks/systems Develop, implement, and continuously improve strategic frameworks Build strong external collaborative relationships with councils, and other water services providersAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will bring:Ideally 8-10 years’ experience in strategic planning or infrastructure managementA degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental science or related.Proven ability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with corporate outcomes and sustainability priorities A deep understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including regulatory frameworks, serving trends and infrastructure planningThe ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to align on strategic prioritiesBenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
