As a National Uniform Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role behind the scenes—making sure roughly 70% DOC’s 3,500-strong team has the gear they need to do extraordinary work every day.You’ll be the go-to expert ensuring staff receive the right uniform at the right time. Whether they’re heading into rugged fieldwork or representing DOC in a Visitor Centre or Office environment, supporting our people from their very first uniform order through every stage of their DOC journey. Working from our Nelson-based uniform store, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, site-champions, suppliers, and teams across the country to keep our uniform service running smoothly and consistently.The position will:Coordinate uniform supply; manage orders, loans, returns, exchanges, repairs, alterations, and decommissioningProvide our people with guidance on sizing, fabrics, non-standard requirements, and general enquiriesMaintain accurate staff uniform records, monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and oversee despatch processesMaintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, provide product feedback, arrange approvals, and train casual uniform staffDraft uniform updates, maintain SOPs and dress standards, and problem-solve issues such as fabric allergies or recycling optionsClick here for the Role DescriptionNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceIf you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:Experience with stock and warehousing systemsUnderstanding of garment/apparel provision, including sizing, fabrics, and orderingStrong ability to maintain office systems, including orders, databases, customer records, and invoicesSkilled at customer service and managing supplier relationshipsClear writing skills to provide guidance and updates to staffAbility to build effective, positive working relationships across teamsA collaborative, adaptable team player who enjoys practical problem solvingAn interest in contributing to DOC’s conservation mission through high-quality operational supportHe aha ngā pāinga mōu? | What’s in it for you?DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
