Role OverviewThe Commercial Manager – Media & Partnerships will drive the development and execution of strategic commercial initiatives across the media portfolio. The role requires a strong understanding of media business models, deal structures, and partnership negotiations. The incumbent will identify growth opportunities, evaluate commercial proposals, and build business cases that support expansion and revenue diversification.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & Deal-MakingIdentify, evaluate, and negotiate commercial opportunities with broadcasters, production houses, content creators, agencies, and media partners.Structure deals and partnership models that optimize revenue potential and long-term value.Lead financial and commercial evaluations of media projects, acquisitions, and joint ventures.Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation in contract negotiations.Business Development & ExpansionDevelop and execute strategies to scale up media operations, expand market reach, and maximize monetization opportunities.Analyze new markets, emerging platforms, and audience trends to support decision-making.Drive business cases and financial models for new ventures, investments, and partnerships.Build relationships with key industry players to foster collaboration and co-production opportunities.Financial & Commercial OversightEvaluate commercial performance of ongoing partnerships, ensuring alignment with financial targets.Support forecasting, budgeting, and revenue projections for media-related business units.Monitor KPIs related to deal performance, profitability, and ROI.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with content, marketing, and distribution teams to align commercial objectives with creative and strategic goals.Partner with senior leadership to identify and assess strategic priorities within the media ecosystem.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Media Management, or related field (MBA preferred).8–12 years of experience in commercial or business development roles within the media, broadcasting, or entertainment sector.Proven track record of structuring and negotiating complex media deals (content acquisition, syndication, sponsorships, or distribution).Strong understanding of media economics, IP rights, and partnership frameworks.Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Analytical mindset with strong financial acumen and commercial judgment.Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and market insightStrong negotiation and presentation skillsFinancial and commercial modeling capabilityRelationship building and stakeholder engagementUnderstanding of regional and international media markets
