Job Description

The product manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned product lines including supplier relations, cost negotiations, purchasing, importation, distribution network optimization, market intelligence (competitive, customer, market influences, product applications, etc.), and support both the sales managers and territory managers to hit product specific revenue targets.Job Responsibilities:Foster long term relations with product line supplier partners and maintaining contact with them to understand all areas of their business.Issue purchase orders to ensure proper inventory levels and work with the logistics manager to oversee importation of assigned product lines.Be a master of the market for assigned product lines and maintain a strong comprehension of the supplier partner's position in the market, competitive advantages, full product offerings, etc.Working with the VP of Operations and Supply Chain strategy for the assigned product lines.Managing scheduling and communications for supplier customer visits, tradeshows and special events.Attending company meetings in both NY and UT.Responding with urgency to customer, supplier and colleague requests.Requirements:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or University.5-7 years' experience in product/category managementPrevious successful supply chain experience is preferred.Previous sales experience is preferred.Mackenzie Stuart is a leading executive search and selection business.
