We are looking for a talented and experienced senior HV switchgear and substation commissioning engineer to join our dynamic team.OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated High Voltage Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in the commissioning of high-voltage switchgear and substations. In this position, you will ensure that all equipment is installed, tested, and operating correctly in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will work closely with our clients, project teams, and field technicians to deliver top-quality solutions and provide expert troubleshooting support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and perform commissioning activities for high-voltage (HV) switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and substation equipment.Verify proper installation, configuration, and functionality of HV systems through testing, inspection, and validation procedures.Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning.Review engineering drawings, protection settings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure alignment with commissioning requirements.Prepare commissioning plans, procedures, and risk assessments.Document all commissioning results, including test reports, punch lists, and sign-off documentation.Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company policies.Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel and clients.Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of commissioning processes.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.Proven experience in commissioning high-voltage equipment and substation systems (typically 10kV–400kV).Strong understanding of protection systems, HV testing methods, and electrical system operation.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and protection coordination studies.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional project teams.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work on cutting-edge HV infrastructure projects.Collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and professional growth.Competitive compensation, benefits, and development opportunities.
