JOB SUMMARY:The Communications and Digital Media Senior Executive will play a vital role in shaping and executing the firm’s external and internal communications strategy. This position focuses on enhancing the firm's visibility, reinforcing its brand reputation, and amplifying its thought leadership through dynamic digital content and multi-channel campaigns in line with the firm's strategic priorities.The ideal candidate is a digitally fluent, creative storyteller who is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing digital platforms, media relations, and firm-wide communications with precision and strategic intent.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Digital Media & Content StrategyDevelop and implement an integrated digital media strategy that aligns with the firm’s overall brand and business development objectives.Manage the firm’s website, ensuring timely updates, SEO, AIO, SGO, VEO and E-E-A-T optimization, and engaging content across practice areas and industries.Create and curate high-quality content for digital channels—including social media, newsletters, video, and blog posts—that showcases the expertise of the firm’s Partners and Associates.Lead social media strategy and execution across platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), driving engagement, brand consistency, and professional visibility.Produce digital campaigns to promote legal updates, events, awards, and rankings.Communications & Media RelationsDraft, edit, and distribute firm announcements, press releases, and key external communications.Cultivate relationships with legal and business media outlets to secure positive media coverage.Serve as a liaison with media contacts and manage press interactions, including interview coordination and briefing documents.Monitor media coverage and industry developments to identify and respond to opportunities for positive exposure.Internal CommunicationsSupport internal communications initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged across the firm’s three offices (Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt).Develop and manage firm-wide newsletters and leadership communications.Brand & Visual IdentityEnsure consistency of the firm’s brand voice and visual identity across all digital and offline channels.Collaborate with external vendors to produce branded marketing collateral, graphics, and multimedia assets.Analytics & ReportingTrack, analyse, and report on the performance of digital campaigns and communications initiatives.Use analytics to recommend enhancements for engagement and reach.Make recommendations and manage the budget for all PR activities.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.Certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Digital Garage, HubSpot, CIM) are highly desirable.Master’s degree is an added advantage.SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:5–7 years of relevant experience in a communications or digital media role, preferably within a professional services or legal environment.Demonstrated ability to manage corporate social media channels and content pipelines.Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for tone, accuracy, and clarity.Hands-on experience with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), SEO, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).Proven track record in executing successful digital campaigns and building thought leadership platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
