The Congress, attended by 350–700 delegates, is hosted in a different city each year. Since 1965, it has addressed critical topics in the field of city and regional planning.61st and 62nd ISOCARP World Planning Congresses: ISOCARP is seeking two Communications and Publications interns to work on a variety of communication tasks and support the publication of materials produced during our last congress (61st WPC). This includes the congress proceedings and other related materials.Key Responsibilities of the Intern include:· Publishing academic papers on ISOCARP’s online paper platform.· Reaching out to relevant internal and external stakeholders to collect materials for publications.· Supporting the curation, editing, and formatting of various publications as needed.· Coordinating with colleagues on communications tasks and ensuring the timely delivery of materials.· Assisting in the preparation of communication materials for social media platforms, newsletters, and the Mailchimp platform.· Contributing to the development of content strategies and campaigns to enhance ISOCARP’s visibility.· Performing any other communications- or publications-related tasks as required.· Conduct research and analyse data on current and potential ISOCARP partners to support strategic engagement.· Assist in maintaining ISOCARP communication channels, ensuring content is up-to-date and easily accessible.Qualifications· Currently enrolled in an academic program.· Preferably with a background in Planning, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software programs.· Experience in communications, publications, or event organisation is an advantage.· Strong intercultural communication skills.· Ability to work flexibly, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team.· Interest in learning about the operations of international development organisations such as ISOCARP.· Interest in Sustainable Development, Urban, and Regional Planning.· Strong time management skills.ISOCARP is looking to onboard two Interns starting from 1st of December 2025, for a minimum period until 1st of May 2026 (6 months). The position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week, spread over at least three days. Interns are welcome to work from our office in The Hague, with the option for one day of flexible remote work upon coordination with the Internship Supervisor.CompensationThe Intern will receive an internship stipend of €500 per month.
