You will work in collaboration with other team members who handle tasks like routine maintenance work orders, architectural requests and violations. This will leave you with more time to focus on working with our Boards to achieve their objectives, effectively manage the properties and plan for their needs, manage their finances, and properly develop bids for service contracts and capital improvements.You must be well versed in the world of condominiums. Therefore, we seek someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a property manager for condominiums.As the company grows, so can you. This is a great opportunity, but because we work collaboratively as a team in the office, you must be willing to work in the office.The Community Association Manager position is challenging and requires a wide array of skills. To be effective you must be a leader, a problem solver, a negotiator and communicator, eager to please, handle workloads of multiple properties, and be driven to get things accomplished. Friendliness and a genuine desire to do things the right way are paramount to your success.Job RequirementsEducation and Experience:At least 5 years experience as a Community Association ManagerLicensed with IDFPR as a Community Association ManagerBachelor’s Degree is a plusThe ideal candidate would possess or have the potential to acquire the following skills:Empathy - helpful and caring attitude – this is a service industryVerbal communication - the person has to sound professional and intelligentWritten communication - proper grammar and spelling and able to compose intelligent letters and noticesBasic computer programs (Word, Excel and email)Math - basic arithmetic and algebraAccounting - can read and understand a balance sheet and income statementProblem solver - able to analyze a problem and come up with creative solutionsNegotiation - soliciting and interviewing vendors/contractorsAble to stay calm in a stressful situation like when dealing with an angry resident/owner. Able to diffuse a volatile situationOrganized and attention to detail - there are multiple properties and Boards we work forWorks well with a team as your work affects others in the office and you may need to supervise othersAlso, the ideal candidate would be:Positive in his/her outlook on lifeSelf-motivated. There is no micro-management in our office.
