Further information about the Department can be found at http://www.dhud.sa.gov.auThe RoleThe Community Partnerships Coordinator will directly contribute to the prosperity, sustainability, and resilience of Outback SA by delivering programs that address the unique challenges of the region, supporting local communities, and fostering responsible development.ResponsibilitiesThe Community Partnerships Coordinator works as part of a small team that has a pivotal role in fostering and strengthening collaborative relationships between the Outback Community Authority and local communities. It serves as a liaison between our organisation and various community stakeholders, including residents, businesses, government, and non-profit organisations. The role also facilitates community-led initiatives that improve social, economic and environmental outcomes. You will hold the following responsibilities:Contribute to organisational outcomes through excellent team work.Facilitate effective partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact for Progress Associations.Coordinate community-related projects and initiatives.Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of community development projects.About YouTo be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and accurately, in writing and verbally.Able to develop rapport with a broad range of people easilyShow respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peopleA well-developed understanding of the social, economic and commercial factors that impact Outback SA.Experience / QualificationExperience in community engagementExperience in project managementProven ability to work under broad direction, independently or a part of a teamSignificant experience in successfully developing, implementing, evaluating and improving programs, projects, systems, policies and services.Able to successfully negotiate and resolve conflict with staff, community members and stakeholdersiAP2 Certificate of Engagement (desirable)Special ConditionsFrequent intrastate travel will be required. Some out of hours’ work and weekend work may be required.Successful applicants will be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check and a Working with Children Check prior to employment.
