Job Description

Job PurposeThe Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s international student compliance processes. Based in Nepal and reporting to the UK Compliance Manager, this position will focus on managing and maintaining Enroly CAS Shield processes, reviewing interview scoring, and providing day-to-day administrative and analytical support to the UK Compliance team. The role will ensure that all processes relating to international student admissions and sponsorship are compliant with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations and institutional policies. The post holder will help maintain the integrity of sponsor licence duties and ensure a high standard of compliance, accuracy, and customer service.Key Responsibilities CAS & Enroly ManagementManage and maintain the Enroly CAS Shield system, ensuring that applicant data is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.Monitor CAS requests and allocations, ensuring compliance with institutional and UKVI regulations.Liaise with recruitment, admissions, and compliance teams to resolve CAS-related queries or discrepancies.Support the UK Compliance Manager in maintaining a clear audit trail of all CAS decisions and communications.Interview Review & Compliance ChecksReview and verify Pre-CAS interview scoring to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance with institutional standards.Identify and flag potential risk cases (e.g., applicants with inconsistent information or low interview performance).Identify opportunities where students may need additional coaching on interview techniques but is otherwise a strong and genuine student.Support the UK Compliance team with second-level checks and quality assurance of interview outcomes.Compliance SupportAssist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records to ensure compliance with sponsor licence obligations.Support the preparation of documentation and evidence for internal and external audits (e.g., UKVI audits).Track and report trends in applicant and student compliance issues to the UK Compliance Manager.Monitor visa-related timelines (e.g., passport or visa expiry) and escalate potential risks appropriately.Reporting & CommunicationProvide regular updates and reports to the UK Compliance Manager on key metrics, issues, and areas of concern.Support communication and coordination between the Nepal-based operations team and the UK Compliance team.Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes and best practices across international operations. Person Specification EssentialBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Experience working with student data systems or CRM tools (experience with Enroly CAS Shield is highly desirable).Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.Understanding of UKVI Student Visa Route regulations and sponsor licence compliance requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with an international team.DesirableExperience in an international education or compliance environment.Previous involvement in UK higher education or pathway provider operations.Familiarity with interview assessment or quality assurance processes.
