OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced, Luxembourg based Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance framework and act as a Compliance Officer for a MIFID regulated entity. This role will ensure the global S64 organisation adheres to regulatory obligations within the FCA Handbook under the UK Financial Services and Markets Act, applicable compliance with ESMA guidelines, MiFID II, and AIFMD as enacted in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping compliance culture and ensuring robust governance across our UK and EEA operations. The role will be the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) / Responsible du Contrôle (RC) for the Luxembourg entity ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) obligations.This compliance role will advise the business and put in place and maintain suitable monitoring obligations on a global basis, gaining exposure to UK, EU, and APAC regulatory environments. Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory ComplianceEnsure S64 compliance with UK and Luxembourg requirements.Establish a compliance dashboard of metrics for discussion with the Global COO, Platforms Team, and Risk Committee to ensure S64 adherence to applicable requirements with specific focus on UK, Luxembourg and ESMA.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA, CSSF and ESMA guidelines.Monitoring & OversightEstablish a compliance framework and a policy, procedures and operations manualImplement and monitor risk mapping and control frameworks.Lead the compliance monitoring plan covering MiFID-related processes.Oversee checks for investment advice and transactions.Perform second-line reviews of client classification, order handling, best execution, reporting obligations, and conflicts of interest.Oversee cross-border distribution compliance and investor protection measures.ReportingPrepare internal and external compliance reports, including CSSF filings.Draft compliance monitoring memos and escalate findings to senior management.Support regulatory inspections and audits.Advisory & TrainingAdvise management and business units on applicable compliance obligations and regulatory changes including consideration of S64 brand and reputation.Deliver compliance training sessions to staff on conduct rules and market integrity.Experience and QualificationsThe successful candidate will be based in Luxembourg and possess:A degree in Law, Finance, or a related discipline.5+ years of experience in compliance within investment services or private banking in Luxembourg.In-depth knowledge of AIFMD, MiFID II, MAR, and CSSF regulations.Strong understanding of AML-CFT/KYC frameworks.Familiarity with fraud prevention measures and corporate structures.Experience with monitoring tools and regulatory reporting (e.g., MiFIR, EMIR).Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or German is an advantage.An analytical mindset with the ability to work independently.A professional qualification as a lawyer or an equivalent certification such as ICA, CAMS, or CISI.Ideally have knowledge of practically using AI in compliance-related tasks.Personal CharacteristicsYou are a proactive self-starter who actively seeks opportunities to enhance the products you work on.You manage stakeholder and team expectations with confidence, presenting your work effectively and building strong relationships while representing your team.You value in-person collaboration and understand the benefits of face-to-face interactions for fostering stronger connections and improving outcomes.You thrive in a collaborative environment, contributing positively to team culture.
