Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Construction Coordinator for a temporary assignment in Cambridge Ontario.This position is a 12 month contract assignment. The pay range for this role is between $40.00 - $48.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.Who We’re Looking ForToyota’s TMNA PE Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Construction Coordinator.The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, newmodel introduction, shop capacity studies and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective toeffectively manage capital projects, new model introductions, and provide necessary support to ensure smoothdaily operations. In addition, this position will mentor junior engineers and assist in their OJD.What You’ll Be DoingManage area project planning, implementation and follow-up to achieve KPIs and critical milestonesCreate project schedulesSupport new model introduction (equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.)Create scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the projectReview and/or design mechanical, structural,Oversee several planned construction and commissioning work during non-production time and ensureequipment ready for production startReview site safety management plans for construction jobsLead process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments and process trials based on project milestones and events.Execute onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)Participate in team kaizen and organizational improvement activitiesInteract with inside and outside groups to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts.What You BringEngineering or Skilled Trades Certification or equivalent experienceProficient knowledge in MS Office applications and AutoCAD (Electrical and Mechanical)Working knowledge of Canadian construction and safety codes/laws3+ years of experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors3+ years of experience reviewing mechanical, structural drawings3+ years of experience leading problem solving10+ years of experience in installing Sheet Metal, Duct Work10+ years of experience in metal fabricationAbility to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown to support equipment modifications and installation projectsWhat You May Bring2+ years of experience with AutoCAD2+ years of mechanical design experiencePLC and HMI Controls knowledgeTalented, dedicated people are an integral part of our mission to build the best workforce, working together to create the future of mobility and make the world a better place.
