Construction Manager – International Events experience Location: Baku, Azerbaijan (Project-Based)Duration: 7 Months Overview:Al Baddad International (ABI) is seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Manager to join our project delivery team for an upcoming international events project. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in temporary structures, event infrastructure, or large-scale pavilion construction, with strong leadership and coordination skills to manage on-site activities under tight schedules.Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all site construction activities, including structure installation, MEP coordination, and finishing works. • Lead and manage subcontractors, site engineers, and workforce to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and QA/QC teams to maintain efficient workflow and quality assurance. • Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities to ensure smooth execution and compliance with event and governmental requirements. • Monitor progress, prepare daily reports, and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager promptly. • Ensure adherence to all HSE regulations and company procedures.Qualifications & Requirements: • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction or event infrastructure management. • Proven experience in international or large-scale event projects (e.g., World Expo, FIFA, COP, or equivalent). • Strong technical understanding of temporary structures, MEP systems, and logistics planning. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Fluent in English (written and spoken). • British nationality preferred, or candidates with prior experience in UK-based or international event projects. • Ability to operate under a freelance / project-based contract.
